When windows 8.1 first came out, I attempted an install. Part way through installation, an error occurred (Error code: 0x80070004) and my computer has been screwed up ever since. All my apps disappeared and I am not able to re-download them. Any programs that I install disappear after I restart the computer.

 

My laptop is a 64 bit hp laptop that I got only a year ago. Please help me!
