Guest KCorc Posted June 26, 2014 Posted June 26, 2014 I recently disconnected a workstation from an old server using the following steps: To remove server: Control Panel > Add/Remove Programs > Novell Client for Windows > Restart computer Change Workstation password Control Panel > User account > Change password to teacher password > Back to Add/remove programs > Remove NICI > Remove Zenworks for desktop agent Restart Now, when I follow the directions to change the welcome screen from "classic" to "home", by going to Control pPnel > uUer accounts>change the way users log on or off, I get the error message: "Client Service for Netware has disabled the Welcome Screen and Fast User Switching. To restore these features, you must uninstall Client Services for Netware." I have followed the online directions to do this by going to Control Panel > Network Connections > Properties of each connection, General Tab - HERE is where I have a question, Instead of Client Services for Netware - I see Client for Microsoft Networks. In order to restore the home welcome screen, should I uninstall the Client for Microsoft Networks? Thank you in advance for your reply. Continue reading... Quote
