How many downloads of Security Updates for Microsoft .NET 4.5.1 am I to have.

I have an eMachine, running Windows 7 32 bit but now I hardly open any programs, files or web pages except through Google. It tells me "Version of this file is not compatible with the version of Windows you are running. Check Computer systems information to see weather you need an x86(32-bit) or x64(64-bit) version of the program and then contact the Software Publisher." I have had this computer for years and it has always been 32 bit. I can't even download anything, HELP!
