I was running my computer on Windows XP.

One day my computer was downloading a security update for windows when we had a power failure. When the power returned, I found that I could not access my computer at all.

I bought a new computer and loaded it with Windows 7.

My question is: Is it possible to use an undelete program to restore my old hard drive to it's original condition ? I understand that not everything can be restored, but I would like to know how to restore the hard drive with all the programs, etc to include the key registry, to the greatest extent possible.

The undelete program has done nothing but undelete pictures, movies, Microsoft Office files, etc. I would like to have all the files, folders, programs, etc. with original file/program names restored.
