Guest chris_0001 Posted June 24, 2014 Posted June 24, 2014 Installed IE-11 in Windows 7 to avoid the heart-bleed problem. Then IE-11 was placed into quarantine by the Sophos endpoint protection software. I thought I was taking it out of quarantine as a normal user and inadvertently removed it from the list of quarantined items. Apparently, a normal user cannot take a program out of quarantine. Local IT department cannot resolve the issue. Attempts to reinstall IE, reset settings, run with no extensions, all fail. Had to download, burn, and install firefox from a separate computer to get this far. Is there any hope of not being required to completely reinstall Windows, and everything else, from scratch? Was impressed with Sophos until now, will avoid it from now on. Any other ideas? Continue reading... Quote
