Guest BBS, Inc. - CA Posted June 24, 2014 Posted June 24, 2014 We are a small business with about 20 computers on our network. We have one particular file which is saved as a ".htm" extension. The source is from Excel. On one of our computers (using Windows 7), we are able to right-click on the file and select "Edit" and this will open the .htm file in Excel. On another computer (also using Windows 7), we do not have the capability to right-click on the file and select "Edit". I believe we only have access to "Open With" and in this subcategory, our only options are for Google Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer, Microsoft Word, and Notepad. We've spent about 15 minutes comparing the properties of the Folder and of the File and can't readily determine any inconsistencies. We don't know if the following information is relevant, but the document we are trying to edit only contains hyperlinks to other files on our system (similar to a Table of Contents).
