Network firewall is turned off, should I turn ON firewall again

On my RT, the process is different to that described; perhaps the security screens have changed since this item was first posted, because I can;t find the specific steps in Step 1, (b) and © above. Action Center only gives status (Network Firewall ON), but I can't find anything to change status.

 

However, my biggest concern that turning OFF the Firewall would surely leave the computer open to attack.

 

Assuming I can find the relative steps now to turn firewall off and allow apps to use my location, should I turn ON firewall again and if so, when?

Not while you are doing installs, then just turn it back on when you are done is all.
