I have the same issue. I've ran the MS scanner plus malwarebytes and AVG scans too-nothing found. I've also ran system restore from safe mode from 6/12 and 6/6 restore points. I downloaded a beta AVG web tuneup program before the problem started, but I uninstalled it. now, I can't uninstall anything from the control panel. also can't change my backup settings. my backup is set for 6 pm today, but it tried to run at 11 am and reported an error. I suspect some malware fooled the my malwarebytes and AVG. also, a malwarebytes protection setting got changed.
