I currently have in my possession my friends 64 bit W7 desktop pc. after a bit of shilly shallying it downloaded the latest windows updates (it hd been left switch off for about a year!) then Chrome started bhaving weirdly, and now IE doesn't work. sfc / scannow reports corrupt files it couldnt fix. I remember from either this forum or bleepingcomputer forum a quick fix LIKE sfc /scannow but sightly different, run in the command wndows with full administrator priviliges which fixes corrupt files. maybe it only wrks with W8 but thought it worth a try asking here before ask my mate "Where's the installation discs?" and get the usual blank stare. ;-) however am comp tia a+ qualified and writing this on my backberry so excuse text mush! thanks in advance
