wireless network adaptor does not have a vaid IP configuration

After troubleshooting Win 7 Network Diagnostics I recieve the msg adaptor does not have a vaid IP configuration. One test showed the adaptor to be working properly. Since the computer is not able to connect to the internet troubleshooting has to be done on another computer. I did have internet access for about 4 weeks and now it cannot get access via my router.
