Dell XPS 1MB RAM Windows XP SP3

My machine recently ran an automatic update and now when I try to start up, it goes to a "bad_pool_caller" blue screen and I'm unable to do anything. I've tried to start in safe mode, but it ultimately goes right to the blue screen no matter what I try. I haven't installed any new hardware or software, so I don't understand what may be causing this error. How can I fix this?

I have the same thing and I am unable to do anything also What the ? is how do you get passed the blue screen to make changes because there that's the problem. How do you fix this?
