Posted August 30, 200717 yr Was there ever an answer for this? My laptop started doing this recently. IE6 does not show up in install/uninstall programs so I cannot select repair. I tried "sfc /scannow" but this didnot resolve. I changed registry to IE not nstalled per another post and tried to reinstall but always recieve message that newer version is installed. HELP PLEASE!
