problem with window 7 media center: it won't record prescheduled programs

Everything was find up until 3 months ago. Nothing new was added (hard/software), I've been reading the Answers suggestions (i.e. uninstall/reinstall, Complete Reset Media Center). My tuner card is a dual ATSC by Hauppauge and wmc does see it and the driver for win7 was only thing loaded w/updates. It will not start recording either on its own or even manually.
