error code 31 in windows 7 home basic while connecting to lumia 720

hello!!!

 

i am experiencing a very tough time with my lumia 720 and windows 7 home basic. earlier my pc used to get connected easily with the phone . Some days back (cant really remember ) my phone is not detected by the pc . when i tried to update my drivers from device manager it shows (This device is not working properly because Windows cannot load the drivers required for this device , error code 31 ) . my phone is showing in the portable device list but with a yellow alert symbol.

 

 

I really dont have a clear idea about doing what , as i found that the similar cases in this forum having different solutions. I understand the solution might differ according to the devices and OS.

 

 

i really need an urgent help or suggestion regarding this matter . hoping for the appropriate suggestion or help.
