Hello,

I'm hoping someone smart can help me identify what is wrong with my Windows Explorer. My entire IT dept can not figure it out.

When I'm browsing for files in any folder of Windows Explorer, my icons for programs will turn all white. I can still identify the program each icon is from if I show details, but visually it is very annoying and slowing down my work. I reboot my computer and the icons come back in full color briefly, but as soon as I open any program file, they turn white instantly. Very bizarre. Please help.

I have tried to delete the cache. (Microsoft suggestion)

I have gone to "run" and typed regedit, then went to find the "Driveicons" key and deleted that. (internet suggestion)

I don't know what else to do. I'm very close to the point of just getting a new computer, it's bugging me that much.

Thank you
