Guest Jsquirestech Posted June 10, 2014 Posted June 10, 2014 I have a Supermicro Super Server 5013C-T/i with a single P4 CPU, 2gb of memory, and 2x 80gb drives running CentOS 6.5. It is a 1U server with only 2 drive bays so my storage size is quite limited. I was thinking of buying an old SAN off eBay and hooking it up to this server. How should I accomplish this? Buy a fiber PCI card to run fiber lines from the SAN to the server or? I am needing opinions on what I could use on a budget to accomplish having a large storage pool for all my files from the two desktop and laptops systems whether it be a SAN or other options. Thanks!
