Candy Crush Saga: More tips, hints, and cheats to help you crush more candy in both reality and in Dreamworld!

Candy Crush Saga is debatably one of the most addictive games ever made for iPhone and iPad. And if you've gotten sucked into crushing candies just as much as we have, you've undoubtedly found yourself stuck at some point on one of hundreds of levels there are to play through in Candy Crush. With the addition of Dreamworld and new levels, we figured it was time to give you ten more tips, hints, and cheats to tackling your Candy Crush addiction!

1. Candy Crush on Facebook gives you more free boosters, more often

Aside from the daily spin wheel, there aren't many ways to get free boosters in the Candy Crush app itself. That's why it's a good idea to log in to your Facebook account from the computer and play every once in a while. Not only do you get boosters more often, for some reason levels seem to be somewhat easier on the Facebook version of Candy Crush. This is particularly useful if you're stuck on a level for quite some time.

2. Buying boosters is much cheaper through Facebook

On iPhone and iPad, a typical booster costs around $2. On Facebook, you buy gold bars and cash them in for boosters. A typical booster is 3-5 gold bars through Facebook. You can buy 5 gold bars for $1. If you're someone who buys boosters regularly, you do the math. You may find you'll save lots of cash buying them through Facebook. Of course they don't transfer to the mobile app but if you don't mind playing on the computer now and again, it's the cheaper way to play.

3. Some levels let you avoid bombs altogether, if you're careful

Watch for candy machines that release bombs. Typically you can try and avoid bringing bombs on the game board at all. For instance, swap candies out underneath these machines but don't clear them if you can help it. Of course there are some occasions where there may be a jelly you have to remove but if there isn't, steer clear of bomb bearing machines and you'll find those levels to be a lot less chaotic.

4. Take the best move over clearing a jelly

Sometimes it's very tempting to swap candies to clear a jelly you need to remove. Just remember that sometimes combo moves are a better bet and can result in clearing multiple jellies instead of just one or two. This goes along with the game play strategy that says clearing candies from the bottom typically leads to lots more combos.

That being said, if you have a choice between clearing a top jelly or clearing candies out at the bottom of the board, we say go for the ones at the bottom to create a cascade effect.

5. Don't waste striped candies when licorice is involved

Licorice pieces will always stop a striped candy dead in its tracks. Basically, if you detonate a striped candy and a licorice piece is in that row, it won't clear anything after the licorice. Using striped candies is an especially fruitless effort if a licorice piece sits right next to it. If at all possible, get rid of licorice pieces in that row before detonating a stripe.

6. Be sure to collect your daily spins

Candy Crush now gives you a daily spin to help you collect boosters. You can accumulate these boosters over time so make sure you collect them. You can find the daily booster wheel on the main map menu underneath where you see your live count.

7. The candies that balance Odus change in Dreamworld

If you've played in Dreamworld, you already are aware that you'll need to watch the matched candies that balance Odus on the moon. However, one thing a lot of folks fail to notice is that these candies change every time you get a Moon Struck bonus. In other words, once Odus clears all of a certain color candy for you, the candies that balance him will change.

8. Move suggestions the game gives you typically suck

If you take a while to make a move, Candy Crush will assume you're stuck. At this point it'll flash candies that you can make an available move with. Unless it's the only move on the board, I'd highly advise you against taking it. Normally the suggested moves the game gives you aren't only not good, they're downright terrible choices. Instead just spend the extra time looking around the board for something better. You can easily test this theory by waiting a second to make any move. You'll quickly see the moves it suggests aren't good ones.

9. Combine Coconut Wheels and Wrapped Candies

Coconut Wheels only show up in ingredient levels and are one of the only boosters you can't make using a combination of candies. However, combining them with wrapped candies allows you to break through frosting and many other types of obstacles fairly easily. Depending what direction the coconut wheel is facing, combining it with packaged candies creates an entire row of packages candies that detonate. You can see why this is a great way to easily break through tough blocks without wasting moves.

10. iPhone and iPad lives don't sync

Just like you can keep multitudes of Facebook tabs open or change the system time in order to get more lives, you can also switch between your iPhone and iPad. Basically, use all your lives on one device and then just pick up another one. Since it goes off the system time on that specific device and not a cloud service that tells it you just played on another device, you can keep toggling between then as long as you'd like.
