Guest HyGee Posted June 9, 2014 Posted June 9, 2014 I have an older computer using Windows XP with IE8 browser, and yes I know, Microsoft no longer supports these systems. However, recently a number of files have been trying, over and over, to download onto my PC. Although Avast warns me they are malware, they quickly slow my computer so it is useless, or it crashes. Avast doesn't 'find' a virus, or whatever this is when I run a scan, though it keeps 'blocking' the files. I Googled some of these files and they turned up on a site called Pastebin. I don't understand the function of this website, but all the files Avast keeps blocking are on the homepage of this site. Some of the file names are: Brackusboncak; Yatzza7; Dereban; Brozblagrom; Dobrozlo5; Runtemetz and; Yostledner. They end with .net, .info, or 'task 35'. Can anyone tell me what these are and why they keep trying to ruin my day? Any tips for ridding my system of this ****, would be greatly appreciated. Also, I am not technical at all, so if you can consider that along with a solution, again, my many thanks. Continue reading... Quote
