Guest AmandaW78 Posted June 9, 2014 Posted June 9, 2014 Hi, I am using Windows 8 and I need help. I downloaded a zip file (from a friend who is programmer, and it is his newest program) and I extracted all the files, opened the .exe and began testing the program for him. I need to mention the program was written originally for Mac and was made in Filemaker Pro, he later made it so it would run in Windows since that's what I use. The program had a lot of issues so I gave him my notes, he made changes, then sent me the new version in a zip file, so I deleted the 1st one, the zipped folder and the unzipped one before downloading and opening the newer one. When I opened the newer one the program was not showing the changes he had made, it looked just like the previous one. We tried many things but are now at a loss. Maybe there are traces of the original one in other area on my computer?? I don't know if that would matter, all I know is the old version keeps opening and I am beyond frustrated. Anyone have any insight or can tell me how to make sure anything associated with the original program application is deleted?? Continue reading... Quote
