Help! Having trouble removing Malware.

Hello, I am currently on an iPad, and I've been searching for solutions to removing Malware from my PC. It began with me, trying to install a program called WinRAR to unzip a file. After downloading I obtained malware such as Yahoo toolbar and SafeSear.ch which I tried removing manually through Control Panel. I also noticed a lock icon appeared next to Internet Explorer and that my browser settings were changed. I tried to reset my settings there, but it failed to work. The lock icon is still there. I downloaded something called AdwCleaner because a tutorial suggested I did so. It gave me more malware as the browser add on had took me to a fake link. The malware added was PCSpeedUp, Password View, and others which I no longer remember which. I uninstalled but am not sure if they were successfully removed, the main problem is, I still am stuck with SafeSear.ch as default browser no matter what I do . I'm in a panic right now, please help.
