Word 2002 Clearing 'new from template' in task pane

After opening 'general template' from the task pane, the 2 most recent templates viewed appear above this in the task pane in the section labelled 'new from template'. Is there anyway to clear this list? I know how to clear the Most Recently Used from the documents list on the task pane and this does not work for the templates viewed.

 

I am using Windows XP home edition with Word 2002.
