Guest cher6666 Posted June 7, 2014 Posted June 7, 2014 Hi! My Windows Defender identified Zbot.gen!AP but couldn't remove it. (I also tried a few other free virus removers but they also said it required manual intervention.) Windows Defender tried to send a report on this, calling up Pahah.exe. I looked in the Startup tab in Task Manager and found Pahah.exe: the Publisher field was blank, and I couldn't find the file on a full search of C drive, so I disabled it. I ran Windows Defender again and removed Zbot.gen!AP. I ran it again, and some other free malware software I downloaded, and Zbot.gen!AP stayed deleted. So . . . what is Pahah.exe on the Startup menu? Since I can't find it under that filename, what do I do? Is it a hidden file? If so, how do I find it? Note that since disabling Pahah.exe Windows Defender seems to stop halfway through a quick scan. I'm very alarmed about any spyware so please help!!! Cheers! Cherry Continue reading... Quote
