Forced to purchase windows 8 and apps don't open including store app

Okay Microsoft, this is just ridiculous. I searched web for solution, and I still don't have a satisfactory answer. There are tons of people having this problem, and there is not an acceptable solution on any thread I have seen (and I've read through a great deal of them). Someone who knows what they are doing needs to get their act together and help out. This is a system breaking issue, and makes the upgrade to windows 8 at best useless and at worst incredibly detrimental. Companies should not be able to get away with this kind of terrible service.
