Guest Ken Middaugh Posted June 6, 2014 Posted June 6, 2014 We purchased 3 new Dell PC's in April to replace our old XP computers. They arrived with Win7 64-bit installed, with Win8 upgrade. Therefore there were no MS OS stickers on the computer cases. Our third-party software requires Win7 32-bit, so for 1 PC, I installed the OS from scratch using the Dell Win7 32-bit disk. I did I also performed updates/patches, and general OS configurations required by our third-party software. I then made a backup image of this 1 PC, and installed on the other 2. When I go to the Start -> Control Panel -> System page on any of the 3 PC's, it shows that "Windows is activated" and the same Product ID on all 3 PC's. Using the BeLarc Advisor program to generate a Computer Profile Summary, it shows identical Product Keys & Product ID's on all 3 computers. Short of installing the OS from scratch on the other 2 PC's, is there a way to obtain/generate/install unique Product Keys/ID's in the other 2 PC's? Continue reading... Quote
