Guest John Callaham Posted June 4, 2014 Posted June 4, 2014 Razer, one of the most well known names in the PC game hardware and accessory industry, is finally jumping into the iPhone case business. Today it announced it will be selling the Junglecat, which will serve as both a cover and a gamepad for the iPhone 5 and iPhone 5s. The case includes a slider that reveals a gamepad for the iPhone, with AXBY buttons on the right, a D-Pad on the left and bumpers. Razer claims that the 20 mm thickness of the Junglecat controller makes it feel like a standard iPhone case. In addition, the case comes with a companion iOS app that allows the owner of the Junglecat a way to remap all of the buttons in the case for any game. The app has also been developed to keep the owner up to date if any new or future iOS games support controllers. The Junglecat can also be used as a MFi product, which means the Junglecast can act as a wireless controller for large Apple-based products. All of this comes at at price; Razer will be selling the Junglecat, which comes in either black or white, for $99.99. The company's website is not currently taking pre-orders for the case but it claims it will go on sale worldwide sometime in July. What do you think about Razer entering the mobile gaming industry with the Junglecat? Is the price of this controller-case combo too high, too low or just right? Source: Razer Continue reading...
