Getting off windows xp - an outlook express problem

I am trying to upgrade my xp machine to windows 8 and as part of that move my emails from outlook express to outlook.com

 

 

My pc only has firefox as a browser.

 

 

The transfer process from outlook express to outlook com only works using IE.

 

 

I've tried to download IE but I can't because I'm on XP.

 

 

I feel in a bit of a loop here! Will I be able to upgrade, install IE and then transfer my data from outlook express?
