Games suddenly lagging on my laptop

I have an Acer Laptop, windows 8 (Recently upgraded to 8.1). Since I got the laptop, most games have played very well, regardless of their requirements and all that.

 

But about 3 days ago when I tried to play Call of Duty: Black Ops, a game that I've played and finished twice, suddenly lagged like nobody's business!! I got somewhere around 5 fps. And I noticed this happened for every other game, except for Battlefield 3.

 

I looked through my laptop and noticed that the games now use up pretty much all my RAM, so I'm guessing that's the problem.

 

I even did that “Reinstall windows but keep your files” option, and it downgraded back to windows 8, but the problem still persists.

 

 

I read online from people who have had a similar problem, saying it could be a “Memory leak” problem, whatever that is, and that it could be caused by Battlefield. Which I find odd because I cleaned my PC and it still happens.
