Failure configuring windows update

HI, after I installing microsoft office 2010, my laptop required me to restart, and after I restart ot I got a message that stated "failure configuring windows update, Reverting changes please do not turn off your computer" I've bee waiting for 2 hours and It keep the same, when I turn off my laptop and turn it on again it keep showing again so I can't log on to windows. Any idea how to solve this? Thank you for the help
