Case Scenario: Have old windows xp sp 3 on laptop. Want to install on a usb using an installer to place ubuntu iso image on it and be able to boot off of it. I am a stranger to Linux would like ideally to down load a/an installer(which?) select ubuntu desktop as the system and be done with it. what must I do to achieve this? Additional information . i have no CD. If i can download the image off the internet(which I did) how do i make it bootable on a usb? If you were going to freshly download another op sys. How would you do this? any help that would help me build a system would be helpful websites even more helpful.
