Guest Thekashmachine Posted June 2, 2014 Posted June 2, 2014 So i had a laptop with windows 7 on it. It had a 256gb ssd. The laptop screem broke so i bought a new laptop. Now the new laptop comes with Windows 8. But I wanted to keep Windows 7 and all my old files so I simply switched the hdd's around thinking nothing of it. Now when I turn my laptop on, it keeps going straight into BIOS and wont boot windows 7 from the SSD. some research tells me tht Windows changed the way they boot OS's in Windows 8 which may be causing the problem. what can I do. Please advise. all I want is for my new laptop to use my old ssd so I can access all my old stuff. thanks in advance for your help Continue reading... Quote
