Black screen trying to install Windows 7 on custom built computer

I recently built a computer. I tried to install windows with a cd that I purchased with the parts for the computer. Everything was working out well until it froze while it was installing windows. I thought it wasn't a big deal, so I waited a couple hours to see if it would unfreeze and continue installing. It was still frozen on the same spot so I turned off the computer and tried to install again. After the Windows logo appeared and said "Start windows", a black screen appeared with only my cursor showing. I can move the cursor with my mouse but it still doesn't work.

I really need the computer to start working ASAP. Please if you know the solution to this, please help!
