Microsoft Wireless Mouse 5000 stutters/hangs during hard drive access

Sometimes when using my Windows 7 64bit with all the latest updates the mouse will freeze/stutter during disc access. It moves around the screen in jumps. Making it hard to use. I can use the keyboard fine in games like Warcraft. But the mouse does not work well until the drive light goes out.

 

 

It happens it seems more during a indexing of the drive. Right after I delete files or move some. On my last Windows Update it shows that I have no updates to do other than language ones.

 

 

Is there a way to fix this?
