DVD/CD drive not opening

I have looked up and down for a solution for this issue.

 

I bought my current laptop with Windows 8 already installed on it.

 

My computer is an HP Pavilion. I bought it in November.

 

 

I have read every possible solution thread I can find on this issue but my CD/DVD drive wont open. I can't eject it from My Computer. No matter how hard I try to fix it, it just wont open. I didn't change anything. It was working fine this morning. I shut down my computer for a few hours and when I got it back up and running the drive would no longer open. It doesn't make any noise as if its trying to open. There is no light when I press the button.

 

 

I can open it with the paper clip method but I am not sure that is a good permanent fix. Is there anything I haven't tried that I could?
