Guest froggygremblin Posted May 30, 2014 Posted May 30, 2014 This application (sp-latest.exe) has requested to run every day for the last several weeks on my Surface Pro running Windows 8.1. It is located in C:\Users\UserName\AppData\Local\Temp. I have declined to run it each time and have deleted it multiple times but it keeps coming back. It is unsigned and lists no author. I've run the Windows Defender Scanner and the Microsoft Safety Tool and neither detects it as a threat. I've only found one reference to it using both Bing and Google here http://www.herdprotect.com/sp-latest.exe-14612f7a36ebcdbde194f749ce23ce6513bf9e13.aspx. It only occurs on my Surface, none of my other computers are affected. Can anyone tell me what this is and if it's safe to run and if not how to get rid of it? Thank you Continue reading... Quote
