Error 0x800705b4 for Windows Defender on 8.1

Hello

 

 

Ever since yesterday I have been getting prompts say I need virus protection, however I have Windows Defender. Upon checking I found that Defender was turned off. Trying to turn it off gives the error code 0x800705b4. I have tried everything I can find so far, to help along here is some basic info.

 

 

I have Windows 8.1

 

I have never had another antivirus on the computer

 

Windows Defender is greyed out in Services, and does not allow me to alter it.
