Guest TammieYZ Posted May 30, 2014 Posted May 30, 2014 I am using Windows Vista Home premium 32 bit. I use MS security essentials for my anti-virus. I started a full scan last night. This morning the essentials box said there was 1 threat found on my computer. I needed to restart the computer to clean it. I did, but got the same message again when everything loaded up. I have restarted it multiple time. On a couple of those occasions, a MS security essentials sample submission box comes up with one or two file paths to send to MS. I have tried to send them & also cancel, but still can't get my computer to stay in protected status. I have also found that my firewall & windows updater are disabled. I am not able to get those turned on. I have tried MS Fix It. I thought it worked, but the next time MS security essentials had me restart the computer the firewall & windows update were not working. I am currently running MS safety scanner. My question is which problem should I address first & how do I fix these problems. Thank you. Continue reading... Quote
