Windows 7 Photo Viewer won't open a picture

My default viewer of pictures is my editing software, but sometimes I will right click a picture to have Windows Photo Viewer open it up so that I can do a slideshow or be able to zoom in.

 

 

When I right click a .jpg picture now to use photo viewer, nothing happens. It spins for a few seconds and then it stops.

 

 

Anyway to fix this??
