Open URL in Windows Media Player

Is there a chance to open a url directly from youtube in windows media player?

 

 

Let's go in details.

 

I have old Matrox rt.x100 video card (video showing in full screen on external monitor only with windows media player + direct show plugin), so if i want to open a livestream video from youtube and play it on external monitor through Matrox card i need wmp.

 

Beacause of this, is there any chance and option to open url directly in Windows Media Player?

 

Any help would be appreciated.
