I am trying to configure the firewall scope for file and print sharing on a windows 2008 server.

When I look at the firewall inbound rules, I filtered them to only show those associated with file and print sharing. Since I enabled file and print sharing via server manager I see that the firewall rules need are already configured for me. Now I just need to limit the scope.

When I filtered the inbound rules for fire and print sharing, I noticed that 9 rules had automatically been turned on. I will list them below. So I assume I need to limit the scope on all 9 of these rules that were automatically enabled when I turned on file and printer sharing?

Is there any way to copy the list of scopes configured for one rule to another?

I can't see your rules...

Anyway... each rule has its own scope... so...

oops, sorry. The rules are below:

File and Printer Sharing (Echo Request - ICMPv4-In)

File and Printer Sharing (Echo Request - ICMPv4-In)

File and Printer Sharing (LLMNR-UDP-In)

File and Printer Sharing (NB-Datagram-In)

File and Printer Sharing (NB-Name-In)

File and Printer Sharing (NB-Session-In)

File and Printer Sharing (SMB-In)

File and Printer Sharing (Spooler Service - RPC)

File and Printer Sharing (Spooler Service - RPC-EPMAP)

I am thinking I need to set the scope on all of these

I think so too, as said, each rule has its own range / scope
