Lost all info on Windows 7 Pro 64 bit Desktop

Many hours later w/trying to do a system/repair/ restore, electric went off for a minute, I have lost everything. System wiped clean. I do have a System Repair disc that I had made but must not know how to put in correct info to use it cause I can't get it to work..says I have to create a drive (?) for it...ask what is the name of the file (I don't know) what the heck ? lol

My question is; am I going to have to resort back to install the original DVD soft ware that came w/computer? or can someone give me a step by step on using the repair disc. awaiting reply thank you in advance... It don't take much to confuse a 67 yr old senior citizen, so be kind w/replies ;-)
