Camera app screen stuck and camera is not enabled.

Original title: using the camera app in windows 8

 

I took a video of 4 seconds with the camera app video and now the screen is stuck at 4 seconds at the bottom of the screen and the camera is not enabled. there is no arrow at the left or right hand side of the screen to access the video either. please tell me how to clear this and start over. thanks so much.
