Guest escapedaweb Posted May 27, 2014 Posted May 27, 2014 Hi all, I bought a retail copy of Windows 7 Upgrade few years ago. Since then my old PC broke down, and recently, I built a new PC--new motherboard, CPU, etc. I used the retail copy of Windows 7 Upgrade DVD to full install of the OS on a blank hard drive. Everything runs great until I punched in my key code to activate my PC. I got a message which informed me that the key code is not valid. Am I getting this invalid key code message because I used my Upgrade Windows 7 DVD? If this were to be true, should I buy a FULL version Windows 7 DVD and use its Key code to activate my PC? Thanks for any help on this. Continue reading... Quote
