Flight Simulator X Acceleration Expansion Pack will not start

Currently running Windows 7 SP1 64-bit

 

I have recently purchased MS Flight Simulator X Gold Edition.

 

Flight Simulator Deluxe Edition installs and starts without issue.

 

When I install the Acceleration Expansion pack, Flight stops working.

 

When I try and start it Windows gives the error "A fatal error has occurred", and then simply says it has stopped working.

 

Removing the Acceleration pack gets MS Flight working again, but obviously this is not a fix.

 

I have tried installing to different locations of different hard drives, but no luck.

 

 

Any suggestions?
