History files do not show history, only STS...files

If I save a file to "Favorites", I can retrieve it. But to go to "Favorites History" I find a folder titled "Computer" and it is full of nothing but "STS...." type files, and that is all. No files of sites actually visited . I update MS Security Essentials regularly, run frequent Quick Scans, and usually late night full scans periodicaly. Nothing shows up as "detected", yet this has been going on for about 2-3 weeks now.
