My Windows Defender says it is working ( Real time Protection is on) but the Virus and Spyware Definitions are not updating as it says "Connection Failed"

 

I am on 8.1 and everything else is working fine. It gives me an error message 0X80240022. It trys to update and when the bar gets 3/4 of the way across is when I get the error message. Last update on 5/15/14.
