Windows 8 activation problems (error: 0x80070426 )

Hi,

 

 

I've looked at other threads regarding this issue but they all seem to talk about Vista etc. I have windows 8 (legit copy) and I cannot enter my activation key anywhere.

 

 

The slui program will not open, I get an error. Filling in the activation key again isn't possible either.

 

 

I've tried the following from other threads

 

1. Type services.msc, and then press Enter.

 

2. In the list of services locateSoftware Licensing

 

3. Right-click it, selectProperties

 

4. Change “Startup type:” toAutomatic, then click OK

 

 

but that doesn't work for me because 'Software licensing' isn't in the list to begin with.

 

 

How can I change this?
