I have left the homegroup from my W8 computer but it only gives me the option to create a new homegroup - not to join a homegroup. I tried creating a new Homegroup but that did not help. My W7 computer will not allow me to leave the homegroup. I have made sure that Discover Homegroup is turned on under Advanced settings of my W7 computer. Change the password - error "Windows cannot set up a homegroup on this computer"

Leave the homegroup - error "Windows cannot remove your computer from the homegroup"

On my W8 computer,

Everything seems to work correctly (create and leave homegroup) but I cannot join the existing homegroup seen by my W7 computer.
