Backup fails to start showing error

Hi

 

I used to use backup and restore every 3 months or so to backup my files on my external hard drive. Since 2 months whenever I try using the backup option it shows only an error message: CHECK YOUR BACKUP The system cannot find the path specified. In details it shows error code 0x80070003.

 

I have tried all the possible solutions in the forums but to no avail. What should I do?

 

I have windows ultimate 7.
