Guest Xircal Posted May 25, 2014 Posted May 25, 2014 For a moment, I thought I could disable WD's daily definition downloads using the following tutorial, but the Properties box for MPCmdRun.exe (second pix up from the bottom) doesn't include the same options as described in the tutorial: http://www.thewindowsclub.com/update-windows-defender-automatic-windows-updates-disabled I've already disabled WD as can be seen from the screenshot, so I don't see any need to clog up my system with its daily definition updates. But I can't find any means of preventing these from downloading. I've already checked the Properties boxes for all the other executables in the WD folder, but they all contain the same basic info i.e. "General", "Digital Signatures", "Security" and "Details" only. No other means of editing the schedule. Can anyone suggest a means of achieving the desired goal? Continue reading... Quote
