bookmarks wont transfer

hello my name is rick.......... i have an HP 2000 laptop windows 8.................. i have tried to export my book marks to an external "smart stick"

 

 

that i plug into the side of my computer............... when i had a desk top computer i just logged into bookmark and hit "export bookmarks"

 

 

and the bookmarks easily transferred to the smart stick................ not so with my HP laptop ............... when i do a similiar "export"..............

 

 

many times........ my hp laptop will not send bookmarks there................. WHAT AM I DOING WRONG???............... please make your

 

 

answer simple and easy to do since i am not that computer literate and have not had my HP laptop very long.................. i am pleased

 

 

to have asked questions in the past and received good answers..............
